When registering be sure to schedule your choice of one (1) Keynote for each day that you are attending, and two (2) breakout sessionsfor a total of 5 hours of PD each day. Students with LD, ADHD, and executive function weaknesses need alternative approaches in order to access the math curriculum. These students need strategies and supports to bridge their math understanding and to build their confidence and motivation. This session will explain the developmental factors that affect math, discuss the ways different types of learning problems affect the acquisition of math skills, and share differentiated math learning strategies. These strategies have been used successfully by both math teachers and special education teachers.
